Q: What is Galentine’s Day?
A: It’s a holiday for showering your favorite ladies with love! While we hope you can make this a year-round tradition, this holiday is another great excuse to go the extra mile with it.
Q: When does the race start?
A: Race Day pickup begins at 8:30am with the race starting at 9:30am. Check out the registration page for detailed schedule!
Q: Will you cancel or postpone the race if it rains?
A: We will run rain or shine! Dangerous conditions such as high winds, thunder, and lightning will cancel the event with no postponement date.
Q: What’s’ the route?
A: The route is well-marked and fully contained within Piedmont Park. It is also a USATF Certified AJC Peachtree Road Race qualified.
Q: Can I pickup my number and t-shirt early?
A: Yes! Early Number Pickup will be at Big Peach Ride and Run, Midtown. Friday, February 16th from 2PM-7PM.
Q: I went to register and my size wasn’t available, how do I get a shirt in my size?
A: While we can’t guarantee shirt sizes to those who registered in the last week, we will have volunteers working our tshirt table after the race and you are welcome to stop by and check for extra shirts in your size.
Q: What’s the kids fun run?
A: This race is approximately a 1-mile loop around The Meadow in Piedmont Park. It’s for anyone under 18 years old so they can experience Galentine’s Day without running a full 5k.
Q: What’s the cause, ya’ll?
A: Each year a portion of your registration fees will go to Girls on the Run Atlanta Scholarship Fund. Also, a portion of each sponsorship we obtain goes to the same fund.
Q: I’m a guy, can I still sign up?
A: Of course! You’re invited to celebrate with us as well.
Q: How do you plan to celebrate?
A: We plan to match and even surpass our celebrations from previous years! Post-race goodies including chocolate covered strawberries, card-crafting station, coffee, hot cocoa, DJ, raffles, and more! Stay tuned as we add more sponsors to make Galentine’s Day memorable!
