About

What We Do

Horizon Race Solutions is a race timing and event management company located in Midtown Atlanta. We have spent years in the Atlanta running community; running for fun, chasing PRs, managing and timing road races, and working in local Run Specialty stores.

We offer a variety of services for events big and small. Whether you are a race director looking for timing services, or a race organizer looking for complete event management, Horizon has you covered.

We have two bosses: you, and your runners. We will do everything we can to make your life easier, and to give your runners the best race-day experience possible. Our staff is knowledgeable, upbeat, and detail oriented. Most importantly, we are all runners, and we love what we do.

Sloan Ware

Race Director

Sloan’s Bio:

Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Sloan came to Atlanta in 2007 to attend Georgia Tech studying Mechanical Engineering. While at Tech, he started running as a way to relieve stress. Soon he ran his first Marathon (the Georgia Marathon). While at Tech, Sloan ran 2 more marathons, and 1 ultra marathon (which he won).

After graduation, Sloan wanted to pursue work within the running world. He found a home at a local running store which he now manages. In 2017, Sloan founded Horizon with Cody. When not organizing races, or working at the store, Sloan can be found reading, playing the piano, or enjoying an IPA on a patio.

Cody George

Race Director

Cody’s Bio:

Despite competing at cross country in high school, Cody did not find a passion for running until college. The community of runners in Akron, Ohio and small-scale charity races got him hooked! While completing his bachelor’s in biomedical engineering, he founded club teams such as the Akron Running Club, Swim Club, and Triathlon Club. Cody moved to Atlanta in 2015 and started Horizon with Sloan in 2017. He is a medical device engineer for his “full-time gig”, and in his free time he enjoys cycling, disc golf, homebrewing, and coaching swimming with the Inman Park Belugas and Inman-Howard Middle School.
